Cold weather season is not the same without a cozy drink to warm up the soul. Hot coco is just a classic that I needed to share adding my own touch, so decided to add some lavender to it, have you tried it before?
There are some smells in life that just makes me so happy, for example; fresh coffee, rain, frankincense oil, and of course lavender. To make a food memorable we have to take in consideration all five senses. Smell and taste are the biggest ones.
This cozy Lavender Hot Coco brings up a lovely and calming smell mixed with the delicious flavor of cacao. A cup of this will be the perfect match for your treats, a cozy morning on your favorite pajamas.
In this recipe I decided to keep flavors a little bit soft and sweet by using my french press to infuse some cacao brew, which is made just like coffee on your french press but instead of ground coffee beans you use ground cacao beans! BRILLIANT!
I got it from Amazon, and I personally love it since using cacao powder in my drinks is not my favorite thing ever. I just find using cacao powder in drinks a little bit strong and bitter, but this is just my personal experience and opinion. Feel free to use whatever works for you, of course.
For the lavender touch I simply used an essential oil. Just 1-2 drops will do, a little amount does go a long way when it comes to essential oils, don't you agree?
And for kitchen supplies you'll only need these:
- Measuring cup
- French press
- Milk Frother or blender
Feel free to pair this cozy latte with some of my sweet recipes; muffins, cookies, scones, etc. I will leave some recipes below for you to try! CHEERS!
