Here's something crazy, holiday season is here! The perfect timing for all the seasonal spices, recipes and cozy foods. In this case, here's a new recipe, a type of recipe I usually never share in a blogpost but since I graduated I decided to make more time for things that make my heart happier, my passion. Creative content, creating recipes.
And there's no better time to start sharing all different types of recipes than the holidays. The time of the year where sharing and caring for others has a major force and intent.
Here's for my cozy drink lovers and my coffee lovers, a Gingerbread Caramel Mocha Latte. And f you look the ingredients closely you can tell and realize that it's such a great way to get a dose of antioxidants and polyphenols in.
Did you know that cacao and coffee are one of the top rich sources of polyphenols? Which are compounds naturally found in plants that in quantities have the capacity to help our bodies as they play a similar role antioxidants. Polyphenols actually may play a role in gene expression! COOL.
You are going to get a pretty good amount of polyphenols in this recipe from:
- Coffee
- Cacao
- Ginger
- Cinnamon
- Clove
- Almond Milk
This is a delicious latte that will make your tastebuds, genes and yourself happy. Satisfying from all levels; physiologically and psychologically.
For taste I'm using the spices named above, a Caramel Sugar-Free Coffee Syrup from Lakanto (PURELYHL for discount) and their granulated monk fruit. No glucose spikes and keto friendly by using this.
Share this latte with your loved ones on your gatherings, add it to your morning routine. It's just the perfect way to get those micronutrients in. But I have to tell you, the coffee may be a little bit strong so I went easy on the cacao powder, some of them are stronger than others. I only used 1 tsp and it was strong enough for me.
I would suggest adding cacao powder to taste, starting with 1 teaspoon, and for monk fruit I would start with 1 packet, depending on how sweet you want this latte to be.
Here are some recipe suggestion to pair this latte with these cozy recipes:
